Etude House is ♥♥♥ !

Jennie recently broke the news to me that Etude House, a popular Korean cosmetics brand, has opened shop December last year here in the Philippines. I got even more excited when she said the shop is in a mall near my office (but how come I didn’t notice it?). I checked it out a few days ago, and couldn’t resist bringing home with me some great Etude House stuff.

Precious Mineral BB Cream Sheer Glowing Skin (Php. 698), BB Magic Pact Pressed Powder (Php. 678), PetitDarling Nails Nailpolish (Php. 98 each). The small black thingy is a mini eyelash curler (which actually works nicely) that I got for free, since my purchases total above Php. 1000.

I’ve heard about BB cream some time last year, but I didn’t jump into the bandwagon since the ones I’ve found are pretty expensive. However, Etude House’s BB Creams are more affordable, so I grabbed one. I love that it has a pump/nozzle for easy squirting on the finger. Also, it’s a plus that it has 30 SPF–my current moisturizer is only SPF 15.

Seriously, girls will never be able to resist cute packaging like Etude’s. I’ve seen a lot of nice pressed powder compact packaging, but this one is undoubtedly one of the cutest I’ve seen (my favorite still has to be Anna Sui’s). The pressed powder also has a faint fragrance and elegant engraved details. Kind of makes you feel it would be a waste to use it right away, doesn’t it?

I used the Mineral BB Cream and BB Magic pressed powder this morning. For the BB Cream, my initial impressions are: a little goes a long way, coverage really is sheer/light so you still need foundation, and illuminates complexion instantly. For the BB Magic pressed powder, my initial impressions are: only pats are needed to set so a little goes a long way as well, there are only two shades but the slightly darker shade (the one I used) will still look nice in those with not so fair complexion, does great in keeping shine at bay, and faint fragrance is an added treat. Here’s a photo of me after putting them on (I think my complexion looks a bit better), but before you click, I apologize in advance for the ugly face you’re about to see!

I also bought pink and purple nail polish even if I have way too many nail paints than I actually use. But I think I’m going to have more of Etude House nailpolishes in my collection, since they’re very inexpensive (Php. 48 – 98)! I’m hoping I can find a way to use both pink and purple on my nails–stripes, perhaps? XD

I will definitely go back to Etude House to get more of their awesome stuff, maybe to try their skin care line next!
