It wasn’t until we started booking tickets that it finally sank: I’m headed to Singapore!

Whether by sheer coincidence or my intuition at work, I finally decided to apply for a passport. I’ve been putting it off year after year, dreading the tedious processes and thinking that I’m not yet ready to travel out of the country. However, as I’ve been eyeing Bangkok as a potential destination for my birthday trip next year, I decided to just get it over with as early as now. I couldn’t have done it at a more fitting time, however; L’Arc~en~Ciel has been country-hopping for their 20th Anniversary World Tour, with Singapore as one of their destinations. It was a bit sudden but boyfriend and his friends wanted to go, and so did I–after all, it’s “reachable” and we don’t want to wait for the next world tour to see them in the flesh. So, it was decided that we’ll all head to Singapore!

With roughly 26 days left, here I am, ironing out an itinerary which includes spotting the best (and most affordable) hawker food stalls, dropping by the Lomography Gallery Store, checking out snap-worthy places nearby, and of course, watching the demi-gods of J-Rock do their thing on stage. All these in squeezed in two days! I also have to figure out how to go out and about town via train and bus, among other things.

I can see a lot of firsts in store for me again in this trip, so here’s to hoping we don’t get lost or something!
